Welcome to Middle Farm Cottages
3 beautifully refurbished Gold Award self catering holiday lets near Church Stretton in Shropshire.
Middle Farm Cottages provide beautifully converted luxury self catering holiday accommodation in the south Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). There are 3 four star Gold Award cottages; The Barn sleeps 6 and Daisy's Place and Gooseyard Cottage both sleep 2. Pets are welcome by arrangement in Gooseyard. It is the perfect location from which to explore the beautiful Shropshire Countryside and to ensure that your short break or holiday is a restful and relaxing one.
The cottages are situated in a farm courtyard in the middle of a 32 acre smallholding. Guests are welcome to explore this beautiful land of fields, fishing lake, streams and woodland.
The farm is also home to a variety of rare breed chickens, producing delicious eggs for all guests most of the year, rare breed British Lop pigs and an ever growing fruit and vegetable area for guests to pick from when in season. Shire Horses live on site when they are not working at the Victorian Museum and Experience Days can be arranged in advance of your stay.
Prior to your arrival, feel free to let us fill your fridge with an order from our local delicatessen. Everything from mouth-watering starters to scrumptious bread and cheeses can be ordered directly through this website.
There are plenty of outside eating areas that you can enjoy whilst staying at Middle Farm, especially our purpose built brick barbeque/log burner under the Byre for a really good get together whatever the weather.
Why not relax and let us arrange a Spa or Beauty Treatment in the comfort of your own cottage, maybe after soaking up the breathtaking views from the top of the Long Mynd.
Spectacular walks may start immediately from the cottages and The Bridges Pub comes highly recommended as an excellent half way point for lunch on most suggested walks! (OS maps are provided in all cottages). Alternatively, a short drive to Cardingmill Valley, the Stiperstones or Wenlock Edge will offer equally exhilarating walks.
For a special occasion, or just because you are on holiday, you may wish to end one of your evenings at Ludlow's infamous fine dining restaurant La Becasse. The Good Food Guide lists the Head Chef Will Holland as "One of the top ten chefs predicted to dominate the restaurant industry in the next ten years", it is thanks to Will that we can offer all Middle Farm guests an exclusive complimentary glass of wine paired to your chosen dessert or cheese.
Owners Samantha and Duncan Gray aim to make your stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible and will gladly help tailor suggestions of things to do to suit each guest.
